Austrian 100 Corona

Austrian 100 Coronas were among the first gold bullion coins available when Americans regained the right to own gold bullion on December 31, 1974. Unlike the Austrian 4 Ducats gold coin, the 100 Corona was minted as Austrian legal tender in 1892 as an official monetary unit.

Corona pieces were minted in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 100 Corona (shown) from 1908-1914. All 100 Corona featuring a 1915 date are official restrikes from later dates. Corona pieces are no longer minted in Austria.
